He is a well-qualified, well trained and highly experienced Dermatologist, Dermatosurgeon and Laser Physician with over 25 years of experience. He did his MBBS from Mysore University in 1992, MD (Skin &STD) from reputed Bangalore Medical College in 1999. He completed his DNB in Dermatology and Venereology from National Board of Examinations New Delhi in 2000. He did his, Post Doctoral fellowship in Dermatosurgery from RGUHS, Bangalore and has the distinction of being the first qualified Dermatosurgeon with a post-doctoral fellowship from an Indian University. After his post graduation he underwent Training in Dermatosurgery
and cosmetology from Nanavati Hospital Mumbai and Dermatopathology Fellowship training from CMC, Vellore.
He has a vast teaching experience of 25 years with Post graduate teaching; He has been a Post graduate teacher examiner to many universities.
He is a life member of IADVL, ACSI, DSI, IMA, NSI, and PDSI.
He had served Bangalore Dermatology Society and Association of Cutaneous Surgeons (India) as president, IADVL, PDSI, NSI and all other dermatology related associations in various capacities like, E C member, Joint Secretary, Hon. General Secretary, Treasurer and vice president. He has worked hard and contributed enormously for the development of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery in India. He has organized many national, Zonal and state level conferences, CMEs and workshops in Bangalore and across the country. Recognizing his services he has received many awards and orations at national and international level.
He was adjudged the best Dermatologist below 45 years for his overall contribution for dermatology association and academic work and was awarded L N Sinha Award for the year 2010- 11.
He has been a regular invited faculty for all major national and international conferences, has delivered more than 250 guest lectures and presented papers. He is a specialist in ALL PROCEDURES, AESTHETICS & DERMATOSURGERY TECHNIQUES and is a regular trainer to other dermatologists across the country and has organized and participated in more than 65 Live Dermatosurgery, Cosmetology and LASER workshops performing live procedures as the main faculty.
